Review highlights
Based on 619 reviewsAlibi Bar & Grill in Salem, OR, is widely recognized for its casual and inviting atmosphere, making it a popular choice for both meals and social gatherings. Reviewers commonly note the clean, well-maintained space and upbeat vibes that contribute to a comfortable dining experience. Food offerings are generally described as solid, with particular praise for prime rib specials and traditional bar fare that is flavorful and reasonably priced, though some dishes are considered average and inconsistent in temperature or seasoning. Service quality appears variable; while several guests commend attentive and courteous staff, especially standout bartenders, others report slower service during busy times. Additional touches like complimentary game tickets enhance the overall experience. Overall, Alibi Bar & Grill is seen as a reliable spot for casual dining and drinks, appreciated more for its atmosphere and value than for gourmet cuisine.
Service was super slow and there was only one person actually working out front. Bloody Mary was good, Tea was week (unsweetened), food was okay but, definitely bar food... nothing special (we had clam strips, club house and fish n chips). We were given a free Keno ticket wile we ate so, that was a nice extra (even though we didnt win...lol). Clean and bright, well maintained and bathrooms are clean. A complete sports bar down to the 6-8 tv's and three pool tables. Decor was bar but warm in tones and bar was tall and sticky free. I mite stop in again but, maybe not recommend this place to others.
Nathan is a RockStar! We know that if he is working service is top notch! Food is alway great! Thank You Nathan for being a stellar bar tender/server?
Excellent spot for a casual meal or just hanging out. Food is very good and reasonably priced, service is solid, and it’s got upbeat vibes. Great find!
I hadn’t been here in years. So grabbed my super smoking hot girlfriend, that totally exists, and dined in for Saturday dinner. They have a prime rib special on saturdays. So obviously ordered that! It was cooked well and seasoned great. Came with a side salad and baked potato. Everything slapped hard and was only 20 something bucks. So I’d highly recommend. The staff was quick and courteous. Drop in and give them a try.
Staff was prompt and responsive. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. It came out remarkably fast. Medium rare as requested. Unfortunately the baked potato was over done and yet cool. The prime rib was lukewarm. The horseradish sauce was off- I can’t tell why but it had a peculiar flavor that should not have been there. Seasoning of the prime rib was on point and so was the zip sauce. I wasn’t feeling up to potential confrontation so when they asked how the food was I just said good. With prime rib it’s hard because if they warmed it then it might not have come back medium rare…also there was no steak knife but again I didn’t ask
Great bar for locals in W Sale. The fried chicken is the best in Salem. They treat you like a friend here.
